Author of salvation

Author of salvation is one of a group of names that includes the Greek word archēgos. This word has a breadth of meaning which is reflected in the variations found in the English translations for the title. Jesus paved the way for our salvation. In that sense He is the Pioneer of Salvation (Msg/Amp/NIV), or the Captain of Salvation (KJV), or the Leader of Salvation (Darby).
