The word netsakh includes the ideas of pre-eminence and strength along with enduring and everlasting qualities. It can be translated “glory” or “strength.” God was the Glory of Israel and He is our glory because He is supreme in every way.

The KJV calls God the Strength of Israel.
A similar name is used of Jesus (Yeshua‘) in Luke. Simeon called Jesus the Glory of Your people Israel alongside another name, light of the gentiles.
