Ruler of the kings of the earth

Ruler of the kings of the earth is a name of Jesus (Yeshua‘) that is similar in meaning to a group of names that declare God’s dominion over world leaders. For instance, God is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Greek word archē is equivalent to several modern English words. They all have to do with leadership. In this case, “ruler” is a good translation.

Bible reference: Rev. 1:5

[Grace and peace] from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5-6)

One name of God is simply Ruler and the same title is used by Matthew in a quotation from Micah.
