Wisdom

In later Hebrew literature, wisdom was described in almost human terms, with a personality and will. It was viewed as present at creation as God’s creative agent (Prov. 8:27), though itself created (v. 22). Most of the same things were said of Jesus (Yeshua‘), and that leads many people to consider this a messianic name of Jesus. In the New Testament, Colossians 1:16 gives us reason to understand it as a reference to the Messiah.
